Reminders about a few upcoming events
Thanks for another great week in Wheeler Chorus. I genuinely enjoy being with you each day, students, and am particularly excited by the musical progress we've made in all choirs this week. It's going to be a stellar Fall Concert on Tuesday, 10/11/11!
Tomorrow, 9/24: 6 of you signed up to participate in the FREE All-State Chorus Workshop at Dekalb School of the Arts from 12-3pm. Remember, transportation is on your own and you should bring your solo and CD accompaniment. I hope you enjoy the experience and find it worthwhile.
Next Wednesday, 9/28: 7 of you will be attending the UGA Choral Day. Remember, we will meet VERY EARLY at 6:45am in the East Cobb MS parking lot. Bring your choral day music/folder, a pencil, bottled water, wear Wheeler spiritwear, and a great attitude! We'll be back between 9-9:30pm to East Cobb, parents, for pick up.
Lollipop Sales: The choral boosters will be in touch about details for this upcoming fundraiser.

Fundraisers and Finances
PLEASE turn in delinquent monies for Uniforms, All-State, UGA Choral Day, Honor Chorus and Booster Dues (Yes, booster dues are optional, but families are STRONGLY urged to join)!!!
The Car Wash is next Saturday, 9/17, from 11am-2pm at Zaxby's. This is a general fund fundraiser. PARENTAL SUPERVISION AND ASSISTANCE IS GREATLY NEEDED! Parents, please email Wheeler Choral Booster President, Mr. Rick Brady, at bradyrick@yahoo.com asap if you are available to assist. Students, please bring in supplies on Thursday and Friday to school. Chorus Student Officers, must contribute supplies and must attend!
The Lollipop Fundraiser originally scheduled for the coming week has been postponed due to issues with collecting funds at the present time. We will revisit this fundraiser for the end of this month and into October when not nearly as much money is needed for Uniforms, All-State, etc etc. It just does not seem wise to try to collect an additional $60 from interested students when the above fees are still delinquent in many cases. Note: a student who is unable to provide the funds for his/her chorus uniform must participate in the lollipop fundraiser and sell at least one bag; all of that individual's proceeds will be directed back to the Choral Boosters General Fund (rather than the individual student account, as is the case for any other participating students) in order to offset the loss of funds for purchasing that child's uniform.
