Pertinent Winter Concert and ASO Field Trip Details
Officers should arrive by no later than 5:15pm. Call Time for ALL singers is 5:45pm. Check-in will open at 5:30pm. Students should arrive dressed (Ladies: dresses, small earrings, no other jewelry, close toed black shoes) (Men: tux with black tie, black dress shoes and black socks) with no cell phones and no gum. Be professional, and we’ll sound that way! Parent ushers are needed. Please contact Mrs. Wilson at Elizabeth1.Wilson@cobbk12.org ASAP if you are able to assist. This is an easy job, and a great way to get involved. Students will earn 40 letter merit points for an on-time arrival. Additional points can be earned for each audience member who checks in with a parent usher prior to the 7pm Concert start time (10pts per audience member). It’s going to be a very FESTIVE and FUN concert, so come out and support these fabulously talented singers!
Saturday, 12/10, ASO Concert Joint Field Trip with Orchestra.
Those that are participating have already signed up and know who they are. Students and chaperones should report to the chorus room between 12:30-12:45pm. Wear nice, school appropriate attire (please no jeans, running shoes, etc). Cell phones will NOT be permitted to be "ON" during the hours of 1:30-4:15pm, while we are audience members for the concert and the meet and greet with conductors and musicians. It's proper etiquitte to have them off; participation in future chorus field trips will be determined by the choice you make with regard to this. Parents, we should be back on the Wheeler campus between 4:45-5pm. Note that cell phones will be permiited on the bus ride in order to make sure you are aware of our return time. Please plan accordingly to arrive promptly to retrieve your students. Thank you.

All-State Chorus Participants- INFO NEEDED ASAP!
Remember All-State Chorus Students/Parents:
Nick Andrist, Alexsandra Holly, Monica Kraeger, Camille Mapua, Yash Mehta, Gianna Romero... The $15 All-State Acceptance Fee (made payable to Wheeler Choral Boosters) is due no later than TOMORROW Thursday, 11/10!
Parents of these students, please note that since this event will be held within 5 weeks of my due date, it is very unlikely that my doctor will allow me to travel to Savannah. Therefore, parental/chaperon supervision will be an absolute requirement this year. As always, I appreciate your support and your help. Please take a brief moment to answer the below and reply to me by email (elizabeth1.wilson@cobbk12.org) by tomorrow, 11/10, to let me know your preference:
a) Yes or No: I will serve as a chaperon/driver for the event Feb. 23-25.
b) Yes or No: I would like to have a room reserved for me and my participating student in a historic-area hotel block, located at the Inn at Ellis Square for a rate of $124/night.
Thanks!!!

Chaperons still needed for GMEA District 12 Honor Chorus
Your help is needed (and appreciated, as always)! This is a final plea for assistance...
Please email me directly at elizabeth1.wilson@cobbk12.org if you are able to assist next Monday and/or Tuesday as a chaperon for our participating Wheeler Chorus students in the GMEA District 12 Honor Chorus event. Schedule is below. I will be in attendance on both days, but may be pulled away for some "director" duties, so it would be quite helpful to have at least one other adult each day for our students' safety and security. Families will be providing their own transportation to the locations both Monday and Tuesday, so this volunteer job is a really easy one. Let me know if you can help, and thanks!
Schedule:
- Monday, November 7th, Sectional rehearsal, 5:15-8:30pm, Kennesaw Mountain HS.
Kennesaw Mountain High School,1898 Kennesaw Due West Road, Kennesaw, GA 30152 - Tuesday, November 8th, Rehearsal, 8:00am-5:00pm, Johnson Ferry Baptist Church.
Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, 955 Johnson Ferry Rd, Marietta, GA 30068 - Tuesday, November 8th, Concert, 7:30pm, Johnson Ferry Baptist Church.
